Obtaining a Toursafe Existing Health Assessment

Toursafe Travel Insurance does not automatically provide cover for existing health disorders or medical conditions. Unless an existing medical condition is listed as automatically covered in the Toursafe product disclosure statement AND there have been no complications or exacerbations of the condition within the last six (6) months, it is necessary to apply for cover for the condition separately. A list of health conditions automatically covered is also included in the below Travellers Medical Assessment Form.

To apply for an assessment for an existing health disorder please complete the below Travellers Medical Assessment Form and return to Travel Insurance Cover by fax to 02 9423 6968. (Alternatively this form can be returned by email or mail using the details provided on the contact us page.) As a distributor Toursafe Travel Insurance we will obtain an assessment from Toursafe on your behalf and advise you of the outcome of the assessment, generally in 24-48 hours.

If Toursafe is able to provide cover for the existing health condition a premium loading amount of $75 for international policies or $100 for international mature age policies may apply. The 30% premium discount available through Travel Insurance Cover will also apply to this loading amount. In the event that Toursafe is unable to offer cover for an existing health disorder it is still possible to apply for Toursafe Travel Insurance but the traveller will NOT be insured for any claims or expenses relating to the existing health disorder. The traveller will be insured as per the relevant product disclosure statement for claims and expenses that are not related to the existing health disorder.
