All existing medical conditions must be disclosed and approved by QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited prior to the issue of a QBE Travel Insurance policy. Travellers who are 70 years of age and over must also apply for an assessment for cover before booking a policy regardless of their state of health. |

Applying for a medical assessment online
To apply for an assessment for cover of existing medical conditions online, simply click through below to obtain a quote and select any additional benefits. When you reach the stage of entering you name and address, you will be asked whether or not you have an existing medical condition. After selecting "Yes" and proceeding, you will be guided through a number of questions relating to the condition(s). In many cases an assessment can be provided based on your answers to these questions, and no further paperwork is required. You will receive an email confirming receipt of the application and advising whether further documentation needs to be provided. Once the assessment has been completed, you will receive another email informing you of the assessment, with a direct link that can be used to purchase the policy if you choose to. Any applicable medical loading amount will be automatically applied.

Applying for a medical assessment using a form
To get an assessment for QBE Travel Insurance (formerly Toursafe Travel Insurance) cover for any existing medical conditions, please download and complete the below application form by following the instructions printed on the first page of the form. Once completed, the Medical Assessment Form should be faxed to 02 9423 6968. (Alternatively this form can be returned by email or mail using the details provided on the contact us page.) As an authorised distributor of QBE Travel Insurance we will obtain an assessment from QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited on your behalf and advise you of the outcome of the assessment, generally in 24-48 hours. We will inform you of any additional medical loading amount payable, and provide a quote for your trip as well as details on how to proceed with booking a policy. If offered, cover for an existing medical condition must be taken up within 14 days of the approval date.
